I am James Clay Hume, the attorney at Hume Law Firm. My office is in Bernalillo County, but I represent clients throughout the great State of New Mexico. My practice is for consumers, chapter 7 and 13, and for businesses, chapter 7. I graduated from the University of Illinois - Chicago School of Law, spending a few semesters at the University of New Mexico School of Law.
I have practiced bankruptcy law for over 25 years, first as the law clerk for the Chief Judge of the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the 10th Circuit, and then with a couple of large law firms in Albuquerque.
